Narration: “I’m always always pondered over what else I can
do for him.” Shika leads the cheering squad as he shouts, “You can jump, you
can jump because you’re a handsome guy! Number 4-! Naruse Naruse *other side
shouting: attack attack Misuzu* Hay Hou Hay Hou Hay Hou..” Then, he notices
someone calling for him.
He calls out to Yuki, boss! Yuki says that she’s Machida.
The other guy asks aren’t the OB watching at the opposite side. Yuki says yes,
that’s right. She asks if she can cheer for the others together with them. She
thinks that she cannot do it alone but their cheering voice definitely cannot drown
out the noisy surroundings.
There are fangirls cheering for Shizuka and Misuzu’s
cheering for a devilish defense. Shika asks if she is saying that all of the Ryuhoku’s
supporters in the area would cheer for the team together...? He asks how about
‘One-two gambatte!’ The others say that it is so ordinary and insincere. Yuki
says that it is an ordinary catchphrase that it will totally be drown out.
Someone shouts for everyone to be a bit gentle with Shika.
Just then, a couple of girls say look over there, who is that person. “Ah,
isn’t that the ‘spank your butt’ person. Ya, ya, it’s ‘spank your butt’
person!” Yuki is surprised. Then, she looks serious when Shika and others are looking
at her.
Pfft! The score is Misuzu leading with 48 vs Ryuhoku’s 46.
Abe shouts that third quarter is already over. Himiko says that in the end, the
opponent closed in on them at every step during the second half. The coach
agrees. Looking up, Miyoshi notices Yuki talking with some Shou’s fangirls.
Yuki is telling the girls that on her signal, they do it
according to what is on the paper. The girl exclaims, this!? Yuki says, please.
Narration: “Next is the fourth quarter, where everything will be settled--- In
the last 10 minutes...”
Driven Shizuka keeps on telling himself that he definitely must win. “Do not forget what I want, where I want to go. Have to win...! Do not forget even for a second.” He jumps to shoot the ball. The score is now 51 vs 46. Arisa’s friend shouts the three point shot was in again!

Arisa calls out to Amamiya and ask him what they should do
at this time. “Could it be that you, as a former regular team member, don’t
know?” Amamiya angrily says that they’re noisy to death, in short, they have to
first change the mood... Yuki shouts for them to come and change it!
She scowls and says that more or less, it is a bit against
her will... Amamiya and others look surprised. A while ago, Shika and others
keep on insisting to Yuki that they shout that, ya, they definitely have to
shout that. Narration: “But, even if it is against my will, even if it is
embarrassing, if only they can hear it...”
Pfft-- Time out. Hatori says that there is still 5 minutes
left with a difference of five points. Noda says that they are totally lead by
the nose by Misuzu. Himiko says that this is the last time out. Abe says to at
least think of a way to change the mood...
Shou just looks serious. Just then, they hear a loud
cheering by Yuki, the cheering squad, fangirls and the OBs, “1- 2- Ryuhoku-!!!
If you lose, all of the members...are going to have their butts spanked-!!!!” People
are asking what’s up with that vulgar catchphrase.
Misuzu’s cheering squad is stunned by it as one of them say that they should not be subdued by that and they should all cheer. They start cheering for Shizuka and Misuzu. Hatori is shivering. Abe says that just now, that is the...legendary... Himiko and Usami-kun wonder what that was about.

Shou smiles and tells the others that next, they are going
to play the game with their lives. Kuon asks wasn’t it butt... Shou tells them
to answer. Going ‘!?’, they shout yes. So, the game continues. Narration:
“—thinking of it, that day, from my legendary perverseness (dark history),
Naruse...
...you were born into a person who always and absolutely
does not want to give up. Ignoring the people and things around, and
whole-heartedly going forward. If you want something, you’ll just say it out as
much as you wanted.” Soon, Ryuhoku manages to tie the score at 56 with 31 seconds
left on the clock.
Abe and others are happy over Hatori’s three point shot. The
others shout for them to calm down for there are still 20 seconds. Shizuka
thinks that 20 seconds are enough to surpass them. Shizuka passes the ball to
flyaway hair but unfortunately, Kuon manages to block it.
Fangirls scream for Kuon. Shizuka can only watch as Kuon
passes the ball to Shou who slams dunk the ball. Narration: “No matter how many
times you were defeated, no matter how many times you were beaten back, you’ll
definitely reach the place where you want to go.”
Everyone screams as Ryuhoku leads with two points of 58 vs
56. Everyone does the countdown from 10 to 1 as Misuzu tries to score.
Narration: “I’m always felt quite envious of you.” Pfft-- Everyone screams,
they won-!! “We’re going to the Nationals-!!”
Hatori hugs stunned Shou as everyone cheer and cry. As
flyaway hair sob and others looking tired, Shizuka sadly looks at the score
board. Arisa and friend hug each other over how amazing everyone was. Stunned
Yuki thinks that finally, going to the Nationals...they finally did it.
Abe and others go to Shou and shout to quickly hold up... To Abe’s shock, Shou hugs him tightly. Everyone look aghast. Flustered Abe tells him to quickly let go for everyone is watching. Shou mutters, “...thanks...thank you...” Abe is moved to tears.

Abe hits Shou’s head and calls him stupid, can’t he say it
out loud to everyone. The others ask what, what he told him. Someone ask if
Shou said he likes him. Abe says what the hell, of course not. Narration:
“Naruse, everyone, congratulations--”
On the phone, Usami-kun calls on the phone, “Hello, sis!?
Are you home right now!? Is mom there!? By the way, we won, we won!” His sister
asks win what so she’s saying, her super miracle... Then, he goes into shock
since his sister hanged up the phone. Hatori says that it is because he’s too
noisy.
Miyoshi calls out to Shou that it’s his turn to be interviewed, ah, where is that guy. Noda says that if he is looking for Naruse... In the infirmary, Shou says that hurts. Himiko apologizes. Shou says that in the end, strenuous movements had cracked open the wound.

Himiko says that indeed, it is like that...it’s bleeding...
Blushing a bit, Himiko congratulates him. Shou says that is really...like that,
it’s very strange. This startles Himiko. He tells that as manager, she ought to
be ‘congratulated’ too. Himiko blushes as he tells her that it hurts to death
while talking.
Yuki comes in and says that she’ll be intruding. Himiko
calls out to her. Yuki greets her, otsukaresame [/good work]. Himiko says that
it is nothing and it is thanks to the senpai-s’ butt cheering. Yuki thinks butt
cheering...that way of talking. Shou asks why she is here.
Yuki says that in the lounge, Abe and others are screaming loudly that the people walking at the hallway can hear them. Shou says that’s super annoying. Snapping out of it, Himiko exclaims that this is bad since she recalled that she still has something to do so she’ll go ahead first.

After she left, Shou mentions about her being crappy
[/inferior complex?] is really scary. Blushing Yuki says that they really won.
Shou says ya. Yuki says that she didn’t imagine that there will be a day when
Ryuhoku can go to the Nationals.
“How can I say this... *Shou is surprised when she suddenly
goes to him and gives him a hug while patting his back* You tru-ly really
strived hard!!! ...feels...that it isn’t quite like how I expected it” Shou
hugs her back and says forget it, this is also not quite bad...
Then, he notices that she’s trembling. Yuki continues to
say, “...I was always pondering what else I can do for you. Ever since I
retired and after I graduated, I can only just cheer for you from afar...for it
to be so far, can you hear my voice...
...Was my feelings conveyed to you... I always, always... *sobbing*
am really scared... *Shou looks surprised* (No good, why am I crying? ‘Congratulations’,
‘otsukaresama’ ‘You really strived hard’ obviously, those are what I’m thinking
of saying to him— but) *pulls away from him* ...oh, it’s great...”
Shou calls out to her but to his surprise, she falls on the
floor and starts sobbing while bending down on the floor. While she sobs, she
congratulates him and says that he’s very cool... Shou looks surprised. She
thinks, really, it’s great, Naruse.
Shou says, “I heard it. *while still crying, puzzled Yuki
looks at him* You had conveyed your feelings to me already. Even if we are
separated, even if we cannot see each other, no matter when, no matter where,
*smiles* I can hear senpai’s voice since it is simply too noisy.”
Then, he starts to pester her by asking, by the way, is he
really cool. Yuki says, wu.. [<- crying] He asks again if she feels he’s
really cool. She mutters eh, eh. He holds her face and says that if she helps
him celebrate, then, he’ll become more cool. She asks, celebrate...? He says,
ya. He closes his eyes and says, hm.
After some pauses, she kisses him. Then, he says that it
starts to hurt. Shocked Yuki asks if it is his wound. Narration: “The reason
why, one by one, the uneasiness was dispelled and put aside to the back of my
head is because no matter when, you’ll listen attentively to my trivial
words--- and will give me a definite answer.”
At the court, Miyoshi calls out to Shou to quickly come
over. He leads Shou to the two reporters and says that didn’t he tell him that
there’s an interview yet he kept on wandering around.
The male reporter apologizes for troubling Shou when he is
so tried but they have some questions to ask him. Then, they tell him to sit on
a chair. Yuki who seems to have put ice on her eyes to that they won’t swell
arrives and asks Himiko what’s going on.
Himiko, with the other sneering guys, says that it is a
magazine interview and it seems that they can watch from the side. There are
some fangirls at the benches squealing for Shou. Yuki wonders what they are
talking about.
While the female reporter takes pictures, the male reporter
asks Shou what are his thoughts today. Shou says that it feels that it quickly
passed... and yes, the training is almost... Amamiya and others are muttering
that’s so boring and talk about something else!
The male reporter says so that’s how it is, he heard from
the coach that the team members’ relationship is very good and does this
ambience has anything to do about going into the Nationals. Shou says yes,
probably because no matter if it is the training or the games, they were able
to persevere until now because of the ambience wherein the team’s friendly relations.
“...I feel that it is like that.” Abe tries to stop himself
from laughing. Amamiya and Shouji whispers to Abe that he’s not allowed to
laugh, stupid Abe.
Yuki thinks that it’s so rare to see Shou so serious. The
male reporter says, and? “Maybe there are other people supporting you...” Shou
says that he has an important person. Perking up, the male reporter asks if he
is saying that in the end, a girlfriend...
Female reporter calls out to Yoshizawa [guesswork from 吉澤;
male reporter]. Shou seriously says, yes. Yuki, Himiko and fangirls look
surprised. Shou points to Yuki and says, “Girlfriend’s cheering is really
awesome.”
Everyone looks at Yuki. Amamiya and others are stunned.
Fangirls are trembling in shock. Yuki looks dark and thinks, “heavens...why...right
now...” Everyone goes, “..eh. EH EH EH EH EH EH---”
Comment: And,
Ryuhoku finally won again against Misuzu with the ticket to go to the
Nationals. Everything comes into full circle with that ‘spank your butt’ =P
Yuki tries to keep cool but I guess, she is just overwhelmed with emotions and
everything just went out at that time.
From the looks of it, the Usami-s are really siblings. I
wonder if that will be important later on or it is just a continuing joke about
Usami-san not caring for her annoyingly loud younger brother. ^^; And, I’m not
quite sure what to think of Himiko blushing. Is that admiration or something
else? ^^;
And, just when I thought that there will be no confession,
Shou drops the bomb. Even if not everyone in the court heard it, but then, I think
a lot more people will know about it through the magazine report. Anyway, how
will everyone react to that after they recover from shock. I do hope Yuki won’t
go denying it or anything but then, who knows. Scans by 红莲汉化组

DeleteThanks for the summary, Kat!
ReplyDeleteSo he really did say it. When I saw the raws first I wasn't entirely sure, lol. Though I have to say I wasn't expecting that type of cheer, I guess because it's so unusual that it sticks with them. Throughout the whole manga, everyone remembered Yuki as such. As for Himeno's reaction, I think that she respects him and nothing more, that and it seems she's not used to compliments. She wanted to do her best for the team so Naruse saying those words made her happy. I don't think it goes anything beyond that because she has a suspicion about Yuki and his relationship. (Not that there's anything wrong with her falling for him but I don't think Himeno would do that, I think in her mind they're someone above her reach.) The fact that Naruse just revealed it in front of everyone shocked them. I wonder if Yuki won't deny it this time especially since he wanted to go public. She's not in high school or the basketball club anymore so why hide it? I know she's not used to it and was embarrassed but the longer they keep it hidden, it will be harder for her to reveal it later on. Like on the camping trip, I hope this time will be different. Since Naruse is blunt, it's best to let him reveal it anyway. Besides, there are people out there that already know they're dating, the rest are bound to find out sooner or later.
Thanks for reading, Brittany ^-^
DeleteTrue. About Himiko, I think it's possible because it might be an unrequited love and turning down Shika because of work can be just an excuse.
Indeed.
Thank you, Kat!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome, Apurva ^-^

Thanks again for the translation, Kat! You are able to brighten any day! :)
ReplyDeleteThey really did it, and Shou gets to take Yuki to the Nationals! Go him! And you knew there'd be some kind of announcement, but Shou to do it that way!!! Roflol! Yuki will kill him in private, that's for sure, but whether she denies it in public is yet to be seen. Hope she doesn't! Her cheering them on is what drove him on and it's only the truth (in Shou's eyes), right? ;D
Thanks again!
